Speech outline:Intellectual property is becoming the most valuable asset of any successful business, be it the trademark of McDonald’s, copyright of Batman movies, or patents for Intel microprocessors. For engineers in the Silicon Valley whose American dreams are founding their own hi-tech start-ups, protecting their inventions and avoiding ownership claims from previous employers are top priorities. For entrepreneurs with established business, building an effective IP portfolio and commercialize it through licensing and enforcement has never been more critical with the ever-increasing pace of global, cross-boarder business. Mr. Cai’s presentation will touch upon those issues and update the audience with the most recent development in intellectual property laws. | ||
